My Thanksgiving
This Thanksgiving really wasn't that interesting. I had the usual family over: My Grandparents and my mom's two sisters and their families. It's always fun though. But i really don't understand why we celebrate this holiday the way we do. Most historians agree that turkey probably wasn't even served at the dinner! So why do we use it? It really doesn't even taste a lot better than chicken or ham. In my opinion, turkey is overrated! And even though the pilgrims and the Indians exchanged gifts and greetings, they weren't really meant to get along. The pilgrims gave them diseases and ten months after the first Thanksgiving, the pilgrims slaughtered the Indians and took their land! Hardly a peaceful and loving thing to do!
Anyway, that's my 2 cents
